High School AU

Cullen was nervous to be paired up with Titania Trevelyan, knowing that she has already ‘accidentally’ burned two of her previous lab partners during experiments. There wasn’t even fire involved in the previous experiment, only water. Though no one else seemed to really care about that particular fact, only how apologetic she looked with her perfect pout banishing any thoughts of foul play out of just about everyone’s mind. Cullen suspected that she had smuggled in a lighter after one too many ‘accidental’ touchings on the partner’s behalf, though he felt she should have just brought it up with their teacher instead of causing harm on another student. He waited at their table, before looking up and being met with eyes that looked like they held oceans within them.

“Cullen, right?”

“Y-y-yes.” He cleared his throat and sat up straight. “Yes. I’m your new lab partner. Nice to meet y-” He was stopped with her finger pressed to his lips, he watched her eyes give him a once over, instead of feeling like a lion, he felt like a lost cub being eyed up by a predator.

“Oh you’ll do just nicely~”
